The Man in the Middle

So much for the Hawks, Nuggets and Bulls winning their games, what happens in May 8 is that the games in the schedule are all for ELIMINATION. This means that guys like Josh Smith, Joe Johnson, Carlos Boozer, Glen Davis, Ty Lawson and Danilo Gallinari are MUST starts in this day. The main question you need to ask yourself now is: Of these guys, who will give you the highest PRA and will lose their series.

But before we tackle our pick for tomorrow, lets discuss our pick for today. We have two games in schedule: Spurs/Jazz (3-0 Spurs) and Grizzlies/Clippers (2-1 Clippers). With the scenarios in place, I will pick Al Jefferson for today's game. Not including his Game 2 stinker (16 PRA), he is a solid option to target if you want to attain 30+ PRA. With their backs against the wall, the superstars give their all to win a crucial game, either to get a needed win on the road or to stave off elimination. Players like Dirk Nowitzki (43 PRA Game 4), Carmelo Anthony (51 PRA Game 4) and Paul Pierce (54 PRA Game 2) stepped up to the plate to get that needed win (with the exception to Dirk but he played stellar and tried his best to win the game). And I expect more of the same with Big Al since he is the captain of the team and he is their go-to-guy.

If you have picked Al Jeff or Millsap, you might as well pick a player from the Clips or the Grizz. I intentionally saved Al Jeff in this one because I believe that he has the ability to save his team from elimination. He also plays better at home averaging 2 more points and rebounds in home than road. My projected stat for him would be 22 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists.
